Happy New Year!
|
Happy New Year from Neustar’s Webmetrics product team! We hope you enjoyed the holidays and are refreshed and ready to go for 2010. We’d like to take a moment to tell you about what we worked on last year and what we have planned coming up – but first, we wanted to thank you for your involvement with Webmetrics and your valuable insights. Your ongoing input is a major source of our product development efforts; and it’s always enjoyable talking with you. Please keep your comments coming! Email us at products@webmetrics.com.

The Year in 2009
Looking back at 2009, Webmetrics reached some significant milestones for our monitoring platform. Along with ongoing product improvements, tweaks, and fixes, we added or improved the following:
- The Webmetrics agent network was expanded to over 100 major cities worldwide.
- A wizard was added that enables you to easily reorganize the services you have paid for without having to change your contract or contact support.
- We added a new UI for metered billing customers to simplify ongoing management.
- Reporting was enhanced with multiple custom reports and report sharing.
- Simultaneous monitoring was extended.
- RIA script QA was automated so you can get your RIA scripts up and testing faster.
Looking forward: 2010 Market Dynamics
The dramatic growth in the number of mobile users accessing web sites and services is expanding the need for performance monitoring. This channel, through which customers interact with brands, is becoming more and more important to defending and growing revenues.
In addition to mobile user growth, new threats to site performance and revenue are coming from many new sources. Social media sites, the blogosphere, and microblogging services have enabled massive amounts of consumer connection, communication, and interaction with the various companies that we serve. All of these have the potential to overwhelm your web presence, degrade performance, and affect revenue.
Our vision at Neustar is to evaluate emerging technologies and provide our customers with the tools to discover growing problems before they happen. The need for performance monitoring beyond the web infrastructure for which our clients are responsible is driving our innovation. The modern monitoring platform will look beyond your site and web services and identify threats before they become problems.
Webmetrics will deliver on that vision in 2010.
